The problem
A working trainer was running client programmes through spreadsheets and messaging apps. The work needed a real product: programmes the coach authors once, delivered to each client's phone, with progress flowing back to the coach.
What I built
- 01Written natively in Swift rather than cross-platform — the app is iOS-only by design, so native bought better feel and full platform API access
- 02Trainer-client data model where one authored programme fans out to many clients without duplicating the source of truth
- 03Firebase for auth and real-time client sync, NestJS for the programme and progress domain logic
- 04Shipped through App Store review, including the store listing, screenshots and release process
Outcome
Live on the App Store. The coach authors programmes in one place and clients receive and log them on their phones, replacing the spreadsheet workflow entirely.
